Tokkotai

Brand Identity

An Artfully Displayed Identity for a Contemporary & Refined Japanese Restaurant

Tokkotai brings to Porto a unique journey through the senses. With a privileged location and a sophisticated interior design by Paulo Lobo, Tokkotai was designed to cross every line of expectation - from the explosion of flavours to the music that will beg to be danced to.

Inspired by the spellbinding beauty of this Japanese restaurant's creations, we designed a symbol that has the sophisticated curve of a roll seen from above. Complemented with a black and white colour palette, we endowed mysticism to this exclusive restaurant's identity.

As the brand owners from the start, we created several of the in-restaurant experience touchpoints -- food & drinks menu, uniform, coaster, invitation, chopstick, check cover. We also crafted the launch strategy for their restaurant on Instagram as well as a very simple restaurant website.
